As many brides are following the trends of bridal fashion in Instagram and Pinterest, we are drown more and more to have the same look to the models and the celebrities.
Before the brides spend large amount of time on line and searching what gown they like, ask yourself these question: What kind of wedding do you want? Beach? Mountain? Back yard? Church? What's your vision of the wedding? any ideas of table clothes setting, curtain color? Do you know your body type well enough to know which shape would be the best fit?
I have been a bridal consultant for over 8 years. Most brides i know often with an idea in their mind for what they should wear. They downloaded a few photos to show you what they would want and wanting to fit in that vision. Mostly of time, when they finally tried the dress fit all description then there is something missing just not right.
So how to pick the right wedding dress?
First of all, trust your consultant. Let them to figure out the shapes and styles you can try.
Secondly, try all shapes to determine the best possible shape for you. Then pick the details that you like apply to that simple shape you have tried on. For example, you are good for a small Aline shape. Decided that, then trying to decide lace or not, how much lace, sparkle and what type of lace or details . Filling in the details to find the right dress.
Moreover, Deciding the neckline.
After bottom shape decided, there are numerous necklines to chose.
If you are busty, trying to find structured bust line and simpler neck line; if you have wider shoulder, try plunge neckline to make your shoulder visually narrower.
last but not least,Fabric choice.
We all know drapability varies due to fabric variation.
Chiffon may have different reaction than tulle.
Organza may different than Crepe.
Choose the right look can be determined by fabric as quality or not, looking expensive or cheap decided mostly by fabric.
